The C-Pro can run DC fans and has two led channels if you are interested in RGB strips or other devices. The Commander XT is newer and would allow an easier transition to RGB fans later, if desired. ![]() There isn’t an obvious preference here with PWM fans and no RGB. ![]() That would be the Commander Pro or Commander XT. If you want software programmable control (CUE) instead of motherboard software or BIOS, then you need a Corsair fan controller. Standard motherboard or fan controller connection. You do not need any RGB controllers for them the led power comes in on the fan power line. They are PWM 12v and will not dim as you change speed like DC LED fans of old. The “LED” fans are non-adjustable and a fixed brightness. If I use a Commander, what will be the purpose of the controller integrated in the case?.Also, if I’d pick the Commander Pro over the Core xt, would I need and additional rgb hub to control the non-rgb white leds?.If I do actually require a Commander for any light adjustments and I end up using 7 fans, could I use a splitter to control 2 fans with same header (simultaneously, not independently), and only require a single Commander?.Do I need to get a Commander (Pro or Core xt) to control fan speed and LED intensity? I know the controller included in the 5000D can control speed and cannot control rgb, but I was wondering if this controller could adjust the non-rgb white leds (on/off/intensity).Does this fan config make sense for proper airflow? With 7 fans I’ll have more flow leaving the case than the one getting in (IN 2x140 + 1x120 // OUT: 2x140 and 2x120).and the 2x140 closer to the back.Īs you can see, I might need 6 or 7 case fans in total. ![]() Ideally, although I'm not sure if they will fit, I'd like to use a similar 140/140/120 config as in the front, keeping the 120mm one closer to the case front.
